Managing the sun's heat and glare can be accomplished with Phifer's SheerWeave sun control and heat blocking fabrics. Made of a unique PVC-coated fiberglass yarn, SheerWeave's light-filtering qualities diffuse light, reduce glare and help control solar heat gain to make any room more comfortable.
As SheerWeave filters and diffuses light, it also helps reduce the fading of textiles and interior furnishings. SheerWeave fabrics provide energy-efficient solutions by reducing the amount of solar heat gain.
SheerWeave fabrics are designed to filter the sun rather than block it out. With a SheerWeave fabric, it is possible to stop enough of the sunlight to eliminate discomfort from heat and glare, damage to carpet, furniture and draperies, while still being able to see through the fabric to the outside.
Sheerweave allows outward visibility even when fully closed. Now you can live and work comfortably by reducing glare and protecting your furnishings without creating a closed in feeling.
The openness of a fabric refers to the weave or mesh structure and determines the amount of heat and light that enters a room. A more open fabric allows more heat and light to penetrate through, while tighter meshes block more heat and light.

Made of a unique PVC-coated polyester yarn, polyester/fiberglass or fiberglass yarn. The PVC coating contains UV inhibitors to prolong the life of the fabrics.

Lighter colors are better for reducing heat gain. Lighter colors reflect more light which reduces the visibilty through the fabric.
Darker colors provide greater visibilty through the fabric as they absorb more light.
Available Options
- Fascia - The Fascia System hides the roller tube giving your shades a clean, finished look.
- Side Channels for Blackout Shades - Side Channels control light leakage from sides of windows. Side Channels - When a complete blackout shade is required, side channels are installed to create a light seal around the fabric.
