Merchandise can dry rot due to sun damage, and fade from UV exposure. Products sitting on the shelves and advertisements located in direct sunlight may also accrue damage resulting in short shelf life and potential lost profits.
Sun Fade is the result of oxidation. All materials and colors react to sunlight at different rates. Ultra violet, visible light and heat are factors resulting in the discoloration and destruction of window merchandise and display materials.
Ultra Violet and visible light are present during all hours of daylight; even on dark cloudy days.
On shaded streets reflected sunlight from sidewalks, parked cars and bright surfaces can focus destructive light into your windows fading merchandise.
