Features
SheerWeave 4000, 4100 and 4400 Colors
SheerWeave 4000 Series fabrics are made of vinyl-coated (PVC) polyester yarns. The PVC coating contains UV inhibitors to prolong the life of the fabrics in intense sun situations. Ideal for interior and exterior shades.
How Exterior Solar Shades Work
Exterior Window Shades block the sun's heat before it enters the window. The bulk of the heat is either absorbed by the screen and then dissipated or reflected. Thus, Exterior Solar Shades reduce heat gain significantly and lower energy costs for air conditioning.
Headbox
Fully enclosed aluminum headbox protects fabric when retracted.
The shade is encased in the headbox and rolls down out of the headbox, or rolls up into the headbox, by turning the crank handle. The shade can be motorized and will roll down out the headbox with the push or a button or flip of a switch.
Note: This picture shows shade material rolling down from the headbox with the cable guides on the bottom of the right side.
Cable Guide Bottom Bracket - Wall Mount
The bottom of the cable is secured with an adjustable bracket so that tension is maintained on the cables.

Crank Mechanism
The Crank mechanism is shown attached inside the headbox with the removable crank handle inserted. The bottom bar protrusion rides up and down on the cable guides keeping the shade steady in mild winds.
You can see the bottom of the headbox in this photo.
NOTE: The bottom bar containing the protrusions on each side, and the cables guides coming out of the headbox are visible in the photo.
