3G Mermet E Screen

The E Screen is manufactured from PVC coated fiberglass and is the best choice for transparency while maximizing solar protection. Fiberglass yarns are manufactured from natural minerals (quartz, sand, soda and lime) which are non-toxic. Fabrics made from glass fibers, either coated or not, are endowed with all of the artificial mineral's intrinsic properties.

E Screen 5% Openness and 10% Openness are commonly used in applications where the view is an asset. Both are engineered with a finer tex yarn, providing much improved visibility.

Features

  • Made of a unique PVC-coated fiberglass yarn
    • The PVC coating contains UV inhibitors to prolong the life of the fabric
    • High tensile strength
    • High heat resistance
    • Inherent flame resistance
    • Dimensional stability
    • Chemical resistant
    • Low moisture absorption
  • Instantly reduces heat, glare
    • Temperatures become more uniform and comfortable throughout the room
    • Demand and strain is decreased on existing cooling and heating systems
    • Reflects excess solar energy back outside through the glass
    • Prevents heat loss in winter
    • Blocks the heat, not the view
    • Reduces fading of drapes, carpets, wood floors, art and other interior furnishings
  • Provides daytime privacy from the outside world
    • You can see out, others cannot see in

Energy Efficient E Screen

Energy Efficient E Screen, a fabric woven with a "finer tex yarn" will provide better visibility outwardly. Glass fiber shade fabrics are produced with a much finer yarn than polyester. The result is more yarn per square inch of fabric. For comparable openness factors, the visibility is much better using finer yarns. Visually, the eye does not focus on the yarns, but outward through the solar fabric panel. E Screen is engineered with a "finer tex yarn," providing much improved visibility.

Definition of Terms

TS - (Solar Transmittance) The percentage of solar energy passing through the fabric.
RS - (Solar Reflectance) The total amount of heat that is reflected back out of the window glass. Reflected heat is reflected outward and will not heat up the room.
AS - (Solar Absorptance) The percentage of solar energy that the fabric absorbs.
TV - (Visible Transmittance) The percentage of visible light passing through the fabric. It is related to the amount of glare a person receives through a glazing system.
